Power Adapter & Converter

In my post earlier this week on what to pack for the trip I forgot to mention the importance of having a good quality power adapter & converter for the summer.  You will need to purchase a power adapter/converter in order to charge your electrical devices.  If you don’t know what a UK plug looks like, here is an example:

Not only are the plugs a different configuration, the voltage is different as well, so even if you get a plug adapter, you might fry your electronics without a power converter.  These range in cost from $10-$20 at most places.  Target sells a very nice unit for $18.  Everyone should have at least one of these for the trip.
